Are You Full Of Excuses?

overwhelmed

When we feel that a new goal is potentially going to overwhelm us quite a few of us get the old excuses out and dust them down. So I have put together a list of the favourites that you can hear in pubs, on street corners, bars and living rooms all over the world.

1. I don’t know how to

This is trotted out a lot. The thing is, before Miles Davis could blow a trumpet he didn’t know how to either. Before Amy Winehouse could throw a good tune together she don’t know how to either. You have to learn. There are plenty of free resources to learn anything your heart desires on the internet.

2. I can’t afford to buy stuff

Well as I said in the first point there is an awful lot of free resource knocking about for anyone to explore on the internet. You also don’t have to pay to get into a library and check out the books there or even to use the computer in some libraries, (or if you have to pay for the computer it is minimal). Of course if truth be told when somebody REALLY wants something they find a route to it any way they can.

3. I don’t have the time

If you feel that you don’t have the time I am here to tell you that you are not using your time well. A little reorganizing of your schedule should sort things out for you. It is worth remembering that you are given the same hours that Bill Gates is given, that Michael Jackson had, that Lady Gaga and Richard Branson has. These are all people accomplished in different fields who knew how to prioritize their time to become accomplished in that field. This is a skill in itself. Wanna know how to do it? Ask Coachie! (If you can find the time of course!)

4. I’m not good enough

Nobody is when they start. I always say get on the tight rope first and start walking and then keep going and don’t look down. Life is a little like a tightrope, it’s dangerous, it’s uncertain, it’s an adrenalin rush. The main thing is to keep going. If you fall off, rub your knee, subdue your ego, chill and get back on again.

Seek and find your passion and start training to do it – TODAY! The feeling of ‘I’m not good enough‘ happens to everyone. The ones who succeed are the ones who kept walking the tightrope and didn’t look down and scare themselves too much to continue – OR – if they fell they rubbed their knee, subdued their ego’s, chilled out and got back on again..

There are of course a ton of other excuses. If you find yourself using any of these or any of your own favourites regularly, ‘I’m really too busy – I’ve got kids’, – oh sure, that’s a good one – but so has JK Rowling, ‘I’m too old’ - Madonna is still unstoppable at 50…‘They’ve got more money than me,’ - OH PURLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE! This one is the universal losers clarion call,

‘If I had their money I would…’

‘She’s only there cos her daddy’s got money…’

‘Yeah. I’d be thin too if I had all that money for a personal trainer…’ – NO – you’d still be a fat, undisciplined excuse making loser – just with a lot of money!

…and I KNOW you ain’t no loser. I DON’T LET LOSERS READ MY PAGE!

If you find yourself using any of these it is time for an overhaul and a refocusing on what it is you really want from life. Fat? Thin? Penniless? Rich? Come as you are! Right this moment you have ALL the tools that you need already! You just need to be shown where they are hiding! Coachie can reveal them to you, but YOU have to choose to use them. It would be a shame if all you had from life to represent you when you got older were a bunch of excuses and a beer gut.

Don’t get a beer gut! Don’t have excuses or regret! Find out more on this subject! Need to know it? Sign up to Rosie’s Letters. We have a bundle of stuff we are busting to share with you and show you!
