Successful People Think Positively – Join Them!

success

Your sense of self comes from the information that surrounded you as you grew up. As a child you not only pick up the words constantly used by your parents, you also pick up their way of thinking and their belief systems.

That could be their work ethic, (or lack of one), or their religious or political beliefs. Sounds obvious right? You’d be surprised! Coachie still meets people who are not aware of this.

EVERYTHING you do as a parent will be the building blocks of your child’s formation into an adult.

Not just the nice things!

Good OR bad.

Whether you do it directly to them or to another person in the room, or in the room next door.

Eg smoking, drinking, swearing or drug taking. A child does not have to understand what you are doing to take the information and internalize it until they themselves react to it, (negatively or positively) when older.

Coachie once spoke to a parent who proudly announced that she never swore at her child. But sure she swore at her partner constantly, cos he was a jerk! So she couldn’t work out where the four year old was picking up such foul language…(Ahem...cough!) Sometimes a polite cough is all you can do!

When you leave the bosom of your parents and go to school, your friends, teachers and others you come into contact with will then also have a bearing on how you see yourself.

If your parents responded to every crisis with self pity and great drama then it is likely you will do the same. If your parents responded to great drama by insisting that everyone just behaves as normal as possible then you will be a calm person under difficult circumstance.
You can even see an owners character influence in their dogs based on whether the dog has a calm, happy nature or a frazzled, over excited or angry one.

Okay, so up to now your own building blocks were fairly negative - how to change your negative thoughts into positive ones?

1. Change your friends. If they are like you and consistently negative with whingeing personalities, they  have to go I’m afraid…or indeed join you in making an effort to change.

2. Stop the negative chatter going on in your head as soon as it starts. AND I MEAN THE SECOND IT STARTS! Replace it with a positive thought EVERY time and it will soon become a natural habit.

An example?

‘I didn’t get that job for the same reason that I can’t get a boyfriend. Nobody can love me I’m just a loser. It will always be the same…

BOOM! Actually I DID get a certificate for the best handwriting at school! And I passed my driving test first time!’

Use a stopping word like…BOOM! to end the nonsense chatter dead and swap it for something positive. We ALL have both positive and negative experiences and those who don’t allow themselves to be successful only listen to the negative things. Those who insist on success train themselves to hear mostly the positive things. Using my BOOM! technique is your starter for changing yourself into the lattter group. Start NOW! TODAY! Because it won’t happen overnight.

You will have to do this every time for your brain to finally make the switch.

You have spent years unknowingly training it to put you down, call you names and think negatively and now you must expect to make similar effort to do the opposite. This is often where a lot of people fail because it takes repeat effort. Don’t be one of them!

Everything worthwhile or real takes time.

That’s why you will see adverts to make you an instant millionaire or to ‘work for 2 days and earn $10,000!‘ all over the internet. They are not worthwhile OR real – but with a workable realistic method and continued effort you CAN become a millionaire! Believe someone who made that amount in less than six months by being doggedly consistent and who is willing to tell you how! (Coming soon!)

If it’s time for change and you need assistance Ask Coachie!

Pleeeeeeease, from today watch the information that you allow into your home and into YOUR brain and your children’s brains. Apart from negative people watch out for magazines, the TV you choose to watch, the books you read (or don’t read!). Make sure they are a positive force in your life from now on. Often these sources of your information are wrapped up as entertainment so it is easy to miss how damaging they really are to your psyche and how you continue to feel about yourself.
